Albert Hofmann died from a heart attack on April 29, 2008 in the village of Burg im Leimental, near Basel, Switzerland. He was 102.

I don't really know if he did or not. Hell, why not have a life changing experience while you're dieing. There is no doubt that if you took that much you would have some huge revelation. I know that Aldous Huxley was injected with 200ug a couple hours before he died, people think he died because of this, not knowing that he had cancer so bad he could barely write his last request on a piece of paper.
